Crystal Ball View?

A crystal ball is like God these days, for many, who needs them? Scientist rely on and oppose scientists. Medics rely on and oppose medics. Archaeologists rely on and oppose archaeologists. Bankers rely on and oppose bankers. Politicians rely on and oppose politicians. Scholars rely on and oppose scholars. The dominant are educated con artists relying on the gullibility of the people. None rely on God, so it seems, and in so doing often, knowingly or not, oppose God. (Matthew 7:13)

It seems that everywhere you look groups are either defining the past or predicting the future. It baffles my mind. Most people cannot explain their own past behavior or what influence it had on anyone. Nor have they been able to predict what they would achieve in life and how they would affect others. So how can these humans explain the distant past or forecast the distant future or even see into other people"s lives? (Jeremiah 23:16)

There is no crystal ball answers to these human speculations regarding the explanation of the distant archaeological past, to the comparatively near investment expectations or to the promises of politicians for examples. It is all grasping at wind. (Ecclesiastes 2:17)

Many devote their lives to research and deception, deception of self and attempted deception of the masses, oh yes and development, development of deception. Don"t think that the executives at Volkswagen are alone in this philosophy. I assure you that it is wide spread, even pervasive. It is in many walks of life. Truth be told, alarmingly many. (Colossians 2:8)

Another invasive example of an assault on reason is the often discussed concept of evolution versus creation or evolution negating the existence of a Creator God, a fool"s stance. One thing that is observable and undeniable is that life comes from life. What is the point in spending your whole life and all your time and efforts in trying to discover or prove otherwise? It is an exercise in futility. Life comes from life, face the facts. I assure you that life did not originate in a big explosive bang (Psalm 104:2) or in a mythical pool of slop (Genesis 2:7). This is just an idealistic philosophical flop with the goal of lording over mankind by replacing righteousness with deceit and lies. (Luke 9:25, Isaiah 5:20, Isaiah 59:4)

Far better to accept the obvious and to give honour and respect to the origin of life as we know it, even all life, the very source and holder of life, our own Creator and Father, our God. Far better to learn from His Book, the Bible, the things He has to teach us. Far better to live in truth than in speculation. Far better to see God than a crystal ball. Far better to err in obedience to God than in disobedience or in ignorance. (Psalm 118:8, Proverbs 16:8)

Some people see the folly of a crystal ball view but do not see the folly of their own ways. Man is on a self~destructive path which is becoming more and more obvious as the years go by. We need to set ourselves straight with God. If we should attain God"s kingdom, receive His gift of eternal life, He will likely answer all our questions in His good time. But for now we must be patient and wait on the true Omnipotent One the source of knowledge. (Romans 1:18, 1 Corinthians 2:10, Colossians 1:26)

By the looks of things we won"t need to wait much longer. Scientist are planning to send us on a one way trip to death in deep space in an effort to explain the origins of the universe with data collected from planet ZXZQZ9Z99X983G7X9Z7 of a star in a forlorn galaxy, medics are planning to put us all on drugs, archaeologists would have us believe that we are descendants of prehistoric animals, bankers are leading us into devastating debt, politicians are leading us to debilitating war and scholars are leading us away from God. They all need their pay cheques. (Ephesians 4:19 Good News Bible and New King James Version) There is only one last hope, salvation from Jesus Christ the very Son of God and inheritor of His Eternal Kingdom, and the door of opportunity is closing on us. (Proverbs 16:8, Malachi 2:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:9)

Lord, I pray, have mercy on your disciples, teach the ignorant and the gullible and correct those guilty of opposing you and your good will. (Romans 12:17, Luke 21:36)
