Years ago someone placed me on William F. Dankenbring's mailing list for "Prophecy Flash". I just read a copy dated Sept. 1992 that dealt with Sivan 6 as the Day of Pentecost. Upon reading from both the Septuagint and the Masoretic texts, I believe that Mr. Dankenbring is correct in saying that Pentecost is to be observed fifty days from the day after the first day of Unleavened Bread, regardless of which day of the week it falls on. Both texts make it apparent that the counting starts on the day following the First Day of Unleavened Bread and that the count is fifty days. Where there is ambiguity is in the counting of seven weeks or perfect Sabbaths. I opt to keep what I know and put the doubt on the burner.
