DIMENSIONS

I have often heard dimensions spoken of but usually without explanations. Here are a couple of simple explanations that a child should be able to understand. It might help in understanding mathematics.

One Dimension - a line - length
Two Dimension – a piece of paper – length and width
Three Dimension – a room – length, width and height
Four Dimension – a moving train - length, width, height and speed (time)
Five Dimension – a moving train on earth - length, width, height, speed (time) on a curved path
Six Dimension – add a moon – add tides, earth and sea tides
Seven Dimension – revolving around the sun
Eight Dimension – add a planet and it's effects
Nine Dimension – add another planet
Nth Dimension – add the rest of the universe
