LIFE

Your trying hard to learn something but you never can learn enough
man has set the course of things but emotions have never been so tough
when are we going to learn to live with a heart of understanding
and a helping hand to give
man's been going on and on for thousands and thousands of years
still we're all caught up in tears with money as the driving force
technology grows in leaps and bounds the most popular pastime's divorce
everyone thinks there's been a change but everything remains the same
children think their parents are square and life could be so much brighter
they turn around and do the things their parents did when they were younger

Life goes on and on again people die but problems remain
pollution you cannot tame and people are just the same.

If I could do it all over again do you think I'd still be sane
I'd skip a few mistakes I'm sure and I would not need that cure
I've known a few who seemed to do it all right
they aced their exams but they lost their lives
it's best not to be too bright your peers will hate you
and your friends will mock.
I'll tell you now all you friends there's something you can do
try not to judge or explain or pass along too much blame
It's OK to tell a joke or play a little game
but still remember this my friend you are just the same
try not to cause deterioration
but do all things in moderation.

Life goes on and on and on but people remain the same
pollution evolves and problems grow and remain
