RECESSION

It sounds like a very real chance of a recession in the States in the next year. I think great measures will be taken to avoid one though, because it is an election year there. I also think that the efforts made to avoid it will be a temporary and artificial fix that will eventually be seen as having made things worse. That is the way things are being done in the States. Hopefully things won't be as bad in Canada. I can't think of a way to prevent the inevitable except hope and prayer and some good advice. They haven't been listening to good advice.

The way I see it the people making the big decisions believe that wealth is created by printing presses that print news and money. In this camp are politicians, lawyers, bankers and the media. Real wealth though comes from God's creation, the harvesting of plants and animals and the mining of minerals, fuels and building materials. As soon as you start discrediting that you start to decay, morally, socially and economically. It also kills the spirit of gratitude and a relationship with God when man thinks he can govern without Him.
